06 S2000 vs. Porsche
you see, there is a reason behind why porsche's cost so damn much....
If I had a 911:
1. I wouldnt race it bc t fix a broken part would probably cost 1/4 of the cars value, but then again, if one could afford a car, this wouldnt be a problem.
2. I would be too old, prob. w/ gray hair already, so racing would def. not be on the agenda, nor would I think sex, but then again we're men, so this two things always work their way into the agenda some how or another LOL.
3. It's funny when these higher end cars try to race you. I dont usually try to race anyone, unless they provoke it or are worthy of racing.
civics are a no no, unless its boosted, then it's fair game.

He said it looked newer..
996 turbo = 0-60 3.9s, top speed 197
997 turbo = 0-60 3.5s, top speed 194
And if it WAS an older one..
993 turbo = 0-60 3.9s, top speed 180, 1/4 = 12.5 @ 112
so I hate to say it but I think he was just in 6th (or 5th) whatever gearing they have, and just sucked at maintaining a constant speed

at 60 i wouldve DEFF ragged it hard in 3rd. why does it seem like a lot of us run into porsches?! ive always had runnins with boxters and slk350s lol never lost to either tho

I've beaten boxster Ses and been beaten by them (a milisecond jump and you won't catch them fully), seems to be a driver's race, that one.
Still since my last street encounter, I've added a K&N replacement filter, a spoon air scoop, a J's racing 60RS single and TP, lightweight JDM BBS alloys, and I don't think there's a stock Boxter S that will take me any more. I figure with header (currently on the lookout for a J's header) as well, I'll be pushing an extra 15-20rwhp from stock, and a LOT more oomph in the midrange, which is what makes the diff.

But back on topic, I would say the porsche was just having some fun, likely staying in 6th or something like that.
