I rode in a 335i coupe auto recently, and it was fast, but not THAT fast...this thread makes them seem like they are rockets or something!!

the 335i is definately HIGHLY underrated... but to note, most of the runs quoted throughout this thread take place at peak torque in their powerband.

This being said... it loses steam fast after 100mph.

In my 135i (same engine... lighter car)... I added a dual cone intake and this alone gave me about 10% more power. I actually ran a new 370 last night from 45 to 90 and pulled almost 2 cars.

Can't wait to get the Jb3... nothing like near 400hp for $600.

ya you n54 peeps have it real good, just a chip and minor bolt-ons and you'll have a powerband so fat and torque curve so broad (relatively speaking) you'll be grinning ear to ear on a daily basis.

how do you say its underrated when all stock dynos are between 270-285 whp? proven many times, its a heavy car that runs low 13s stock

not to mention torque numbers are 280+ in the dyno for a stock one. Obviously you dont know nothing about the car. You probably think the auto is slower than a manual too huh
He is saying they are underrated because generally rear-drive cars lose more than 15whp through the drive line.
