Default 600sl

i raced my S2000 in my dads 600sl(v12), the thing is FAST..though it dont feel like it, it really is...we did a 60 to a hundred run.....it was even till about 90 then my s2000 started pullin.....but after the race i realized the air conditioner was on in the benz.... so im thinkin it would have been an even CLOSER race....if you race one of these cars and your in the wrong gear,,its gonna be tough to get around him...also his car is a 93..he has 390hp, with 420 in torque....
definately a fun car though...

I don't think an air conditioner on a 6.0 liter V-12 in a 4000 pound car makes THAT much of a difference.

No kidding. Think about it...a 6.0 V12 twin turbo that runs mid 12's around 115. A/C is not going to make a difference. With just an ECU upgrade, the run high 11's around 118. Maybe if your car had a turbo strapped on it with a nice tank of race gas you would stand a better chance.

more like mid 14's, but they were designed for high speed autobahn driving.

Ive driven a 95 SL600 xtensively, and know exactly what you mean. Those mothers are fast, and smooth. They pull like a train from one end of the speedo to the other. Very nice engines.
