That last bit was a typo let me explain.

THey tires didnt squeel like they have in all other cars ive had it was a weird scratching sound. Probably caused by the full spin of the tire instead of just the short squak.

Powershifting is very easy. Just try it.

In fact powershifting is easier than quick-shifting. Just forget about your right foot. Then you only have two limbs to move (your arm and left foot) instead of 3.

this is really easy. just make sure the rpm is 7k high, then as soon as you take your foot of the gas, change it to higher gear. you dont touch the clutch here. the guy taught me this said that this is use when racing. but for me personally, it doesnt help me because its faster for me to use the clutch and the change gears.
i dont know, maybe i am missing something.
do you guys know how to change gears faster when you race?

Around 7k seems to do the trick for me, btw...6k was too low for sticky roads.

That's not powershifting, that's a sure fire way to toast your tranny.

Do y'all just drop the clutch fast or slowly let it out? When I try to drop it at around 5k or 6k I let it out over a second or two. Of vourse I bog, but I have never tried higher RPM's since by the time its out, I get the tell-tale sign of a burning clutch. It still smells after about a quarter mile...I assume I'm doing it wrong. My launches are pretty bad. Any tips would be appreciated!

Also, what benefit do you get by powershifting?

Rev to 6K or more, then let your left foot slip off the side of the clutch pedal so that the clutch pops out quickly. Rubber will burn instead of clutch, and you'll launch much faster.
