97 snake w/gears

The 96-98 GT's are the most patetic V-8 stangs ever but ..you realized it was a POS after an oil change!!! What exactly came out when you changed the oil.
As far as unbreakable goes. I whoop the snot out of my Cobra 24/7. It sees 7k at least 4 times a trip anywhere I go. When something finally breaks I'll let you guys know.
I will concede a few little Mustang points:
1.) The plastic door panels are disgusting. I have a 30K Cobra with hard plastic doors and a 21K Probe with leather wrapped doors. That really pisses me off.
2.) The car handles like crap. It has insane body roll in stock form. That was the 1st thing I took care of.
3.) Doesn't brake all that well....even with the bigger Cobra brakes.

The fuel cut off is actually 7200, but I have a chip that extends it to 7700rpms. The car stops making power well before 7200 rpms (unless you have an aftermarket intake like- a very pricy mod that makes tons of power up top.). I found my best mph at the track came when I shifted around 6600-6800 rpms.
no_really- was that post in response to my post???? If is was then let me explain my little list. With the exception of #1.... I could care less that the car doesn't turn on a dime or stop on a dime. As far as handling capabilities...it pulls .89 g's on a skid pad which is good enough for me considering the fact that I dont whip through tunrs in my Cobra nor do I even plan to. As far as braking goes..the car is front heavy ( and I think has a 60/40 weight distribution) so it nose dives a little when I brake hard but the 13 inch rotors up front along with the dual piston calipers still manage to stop it, so its not a major concern.
What I do enjoy abut my car ( why it is not a shit box to me) is being slammed in my seat every time I hit the gas. That's basically my perspective and it is the reason why I thouroughly enjoy driving my Cobra, with all of its short-comings. That and there is a small aftermarket for Mustangs which allows me to change any aspect of the performance that I desire.
P.S. Anyone who can't take a step back and take a impartial look at their car is a fool.
