Default Absolutely wooped an S2000's butt.

Met this bozo bragging about his S2000 while drinking in a bar. I told him I wasn't impressed and challenged him to a race. Found a deserted stretch of road. My passenger (he had one too) would start the race by throwing a fire cracker onto the road ahead of us. When it blew, we'd hit it. I immediately got the jump on him and by the end of 1st gear I had about 2 lengths on him. Then he reeled me in by the time we hit 50 and started to pull on me. Then I flipped the switch on the NOS and caught him in a couple of seconds. His headlites just became smaller and smaller in my rear view. Shut it down at 140. Went back to the bar parking lot and he asked me what kinda car it was and what I had in it. I have a hopped up 10 year old Trabant (Russian), twin turbo (22 # boost), intercoolers, headers, cam, K & N injection kit, Denso plugs, large TB, nitrous wet, ram air, under drive pulleys, cat back exhaust, street slicks, traction bars. Oh Yeah, and its CHIPPED! 0-60 @ 4.2, 1/4 @ 11.99. You guys are just a FRIGGEN riot thinking you got something special. Ptoooie on the S!
Geez, I think I did something wrong here. What? I should've used a different user name? WTF! I don't seem to have this TROLL thing down very well, do I? What? You think the Trabant thing was a bit of a reach? Well, CRAP!

you look like a troll judging by that pic of yours. haha

But anyways, he deserved it if he was talking shit first.

My friend's beat S2ks easy but of course would much rather have an S2k then their cars.

LOL... reminds me of the time this guy in a YUGO Kicked my S2000's ass. I was beaten badly... After the race, he told me he had a 454 Chevy, heavily modded, blue printed, raise-domed pistons, racing cam/headers, nitrious, OHH-- and it was CHIPPED too. He only beat me by half a car length, but boy-howdy he was fast.

Dave,
Man I think your'e lying. Although...you did mention the word "intercoolers". Now, if the trabant had more than 3 intercoolers, then yeah maybe. Did you check to see if the plug wires were 8.5mm or 8mm? Had you been running 8mm wires I think the S2k would have stood a chance!

What am I saying? Why am I typing this?
Who knows...all good fun!

Actually, there WAS a Gremlin in Tucson, AZ yeears ago with some tires bigger than my x-girlfriend... and it had like a 350+ motor in it, super-charged, etc... The motor stuck out of the engine area so far I don't know how the driver could see.

I never saw him get on it, but it looked funny as hell! I dunno if it was fast, but one could assume so.

lol - to start of, it would have to be at least 15 years old as that's when they stopped making them. Also, a Trabant is made out of superweak fiberglass and the engine pumps about 40hp (stock standard), I think it's a 0.6L engine. The car already cannot handle this kind of power (the 40hp). So, if you tripled the power output (which is almost impossible) - you'd still have only 120hp ... hardly enough to take on an S2000. Also, a Trabant with 120hp would disentegrate the moment you'd touch the throttle ... and I'm not kidding - I've seen soccer balls fly through the door panels and I've even seen one that totally disentegrated when hit by another car.

lol, Trabant ... very funny :-) Should have said it was an old Citroen CV or something that is more feasable :-)

Don't joke. Went to a track day with a friend in his Civic VTEC (UK spec 150ish HP) and we were struggling to keep up with this supercharged 2CV down the straights. Corners were a different story

That may be craziest looking car I've ever seen. It reminds me of my first "hotrod". I had a Cushman scooter. Put 2 carbs on it. I think it would top out at about 50 mph. Probably took a full minute to get there.

This just proves that where there's a will there's a way - it just may look funny and not break any records.
