I believe the conversion from liters to cc's is #liters/1000...the S54 is 3.2 liters and 3200 cc's and it is remarkable. And the S54 doesn't have to wait on a cam change before it hit's the sweet spot....the sweet spot is everywhere in the S54's powerband. I have a friend with a bolt-on 350Z and everytime he rides in or drives my car he always compliments on the power.

I have Eurobahn software that doesn't yield a lot of hp but does extend redline to 8250-8300 and removes the top speed limiter. The real benefit is the extra RPM's and there is some fuel remapping done. I have a lightweight battery...removed the back seats, tool kit and most of the crap in the trunk that is part of the TPMS. A have lighter wheels and brakes as well but when I was bone stock I was still trapping at 107+mph which is out of range for a non-FI'd S2000 as well.

 

In the real world the M3 will win.

In S2k land, the S2000 will win.

I do however think that with the mods listed, this S2000 should be able to take an M3.

 

you should pull on him pretty good considering you have the gears on top of the S/C.


With gears and a S/C the S2000 is a 12 second car....

just my .02 but from what i've heard on this forum a geared S runs 13.2 with the best driver. an M runs 13.1 if i'm not mistaken. I would think geared vs stock it would be even till the upper half of 3rd?

When did anyone say anything about a 12 second car? If this was true, the S would pull and leave the M3 in the dust. But, I haven't seen any magial S2000s with gears run this time. Sorry, but I think you are the only one giggling.

 

12 sec's really? With my mods? I know the car is way faster with the s/c and gears but i know for sure i can pull 12's with some slicks.

considering members have dipped into 12.9 with just the comptech SC with aftercooler, if you have gears on top of that, as well as other mods, mid 12's shouldn't be a problem. Easily faster than a stock M3.

I should hope you'd be able to beat the M3. With all the mods you've listed, you're probably putting down 300+ whp and 190-210 lb ft. If that's not enough to beat a stock M3, I'm selling my S and buying an M3!
