From a roll any S2K should be able to slaughter a I/H/E 99-04 GT, assuming equal drivers.

You have it really confused. The AP2 engine is an F22, and an AP1 engine is an F20. They both have the same exact power output with the AP2 having 10 more lbs of torque. The rating for horsepower changed which is why the F22/F20 is now rated at 237.
