For the record, and intake on an sti, is useless unless tuned for it.
check the K&N typhoon. adds HP and TQ throghout the powerband.... without any ECU tuning at all...... dont believe everything you hear on NASIOC LOL

i work for k&N and i used to have it on my 05 STi. 10 WHP over stock at around 4k IIRC and i have dyno graphs to prove it. intakes that have the same I.D of the stock intake where the Maf sensor is, is going to be safe to run......... for subarus the trouble is cai's have a larger I.D piping where the sensor is, therefor its getting alot more air than it actualy reads. causing the engine to run lean. another no no is having a bend right before the maf, speeding up air volcity that will alter maf readings.....

My brother *vader* with an 06 STi stage 2 and I AP2 RS*R cat-back, test pipe and gutted air box ran tonight

we did three pulls

first run i was in 2nd like at 6500-7k and he was in 2nd we were pretty even at the start than he missshifted and we let off

2nd run i was in 2nd again at 7k and he was in 2nd that killed me because i had to shift right away and when i shifted he just pulled hard and kept pulling and i shut down at around 80mph

3rd run i started in 2nd again but slowed down a lil more so my rpms werent so high and him in 2nd again so we both gun it and once again i cant keep up he pulls a good 3-4 and i just let off

so i dont know how you guys can beat STi's because my encounters i get smoked haha ..imma go find me a stock STi lol

Yep...I owned both...I can tell you..there is no way my S2k would have kept up with my Sti...even from a roll...Although..I ran my friend and her modded WRX (catless up pipe, dpwn pipe and exhaust) on the highway and began to pull a little at 85+

They are pretty damn torque heavy...I just made sure I didnt take the car all the way to redline..there was no point...it pulled like a bull

if hes is true stage 2 he would also have a reflash, and would completely murder you from any speed

I have a friend with a Stage 2 STi, and he runs 12.7 1/4 mile times. That's insane speed.... he pulled on a C5 Corvette from a roll. it is a crazy fast car....

He should be able to WALK on a C5 vette. They arent that fast. I could take Z06's with my EG hatch that ran low 13's at high altitude.
