back to the story at hand. if you can drive, its a good run. my roomate drives hard, and is no slouch at shifts. he has an 06 sti. and i get him from every launch, 3 + cars average in the 1/4. rolls, same, i just keep pulling . now, mind you, my car absolutely hauls ass. so not to be compared..BUT. tonite, low and behold, we all end up on the same street, as frank (my roomy) was going home. and mikey (stock 05 s2k) runs frank multiple times, and mikey can drive, and so can frank. this was a very close set of runs. launches and rolls. they were really close, and even agreed to race again at a later date, cause it was so close. that seems more like real world. so id say, if you cant drive or you have an ap1 (harder to launch) your gonna be in trouble. from a roll, ap1 or 2 is gonna give the sti a very hard time, if the S is modded at all, goodbye sti. if the sti is modded, LOL, well you know boosted cars just get faster with each psi.

AP1 with 1 person in it (including driver) = 2975lbs. (2805 + 170)
-both approx. 200whp - its not that far-fetched. and we havent even figured gearing, driver skill, and aero into the equation. hp/weight isnt everything.

However..
I helped build a friends car about a year ago...White EG hatchback, with a K20 motor...all stock except for a custom exhaust, intake, fuel pressure regulator, and a fuel rail...Gutted completly....12.8@104! That's probaly why I feel the way I do when I hear K and EG in the same sentence..

I agree with this man right here! ^ It will NEVER happen... given equal drivers in both cars. Keep dreaming at night... that 3rd Gear VTEC is gonna pound an STi.
