Used to have one. A stock one is only slightly faster than an S2k, but just one mod, and that car becomes a killer. No comparison. But like others mentioned, keeping it alive was draining my wallet.

I think it's rear bias weight distribution gives it an advantage over the S2k, because it can exit a corner faster.

Ive always loved RX7's.

anyways you got one point across that alot of people tend to overlook...

the condition of the cars that are racing aren't always perfect.

take for example my friend's 240sx with Sr20DET. lost 2 car-length to my cousin's GTS celica. after he fixed the boost leak, he was ahead by 1 when they raced again.

Good race btw.

i was thinking of purchasing an FD before i gave in the the S2000... my friends helped me to realize that for the same price to buy a used FD in good condition, i could purchase a used AP1 with less mileage and less hassle to worry about... esp. for the price of those apex seals breaking and all the oil being burned up and whatnot.. if i purchased an FD, first mods would have been new seals, aluminum AST, radiator... anything to keep that thing from dying out, haha.
