Evo was debadged, couldn't tell if it was an 8 or 9.

At a light and he's behind me in the same left turn lane. I already know he wants to play so I take off fast. All the way through 3rd he never caught up, then shutdown around 85 for some reason. My car is running so rich there was tons of smoke coming out of my exhaust, it was quite embarassing.

Then he stays in my blind spot for about a mile and finally pulls up next to me. We were at a roll, I couldn't hear any honks or anything so I dropped it down to second (somewhere in vtec) and took off, then slowed down but he actually bit so I took off again while still in second. Was in front for a little bit then he quickly overtook me. He didn't necessarily blow my doors off, he got just past my front bumper and stayed there through third, when he shutdown around 85 (wtf?).

I knew I would lose, but it's still fun to see if people can drive their cars properly or not.

Stock s2k btw.

On a side note why do I always have street encounters in the slower car?!

 

The evo 9's have those two circles near the front mount intercooler. What mods do you have?

There is no distinctive badging besides "lancer evolution" in the lower left corner of the trunk. A copious amount of people just rebadge it with large letters across the center of the trunk. Easiest way to tell is the two cooling holes near the FMIC for the IX.

 

When I got mine dyno'd stock, my ETG gauge was in the 11's after 8k. That surprised me. I also dyno'd kinda high IMO. On a mustang dyno I hit 198.8 whp stock.
