you can get an Evo RS for 25,999, a GSR for 27,999 and an MR for like 32,500 or so.
No you really can't...At least I couldn't..."No one in the country can" quoting the mitsubishi dealership. The MR was $37.*** and the adendum was over 40k...The SE was $32.*** and the adendum was $37***!!! And a friends of mine just bought an MR like 3 weeks ago, and paid 39k, and had to have it brought in from the key's...If they were 28, like I said, I probaly would've considered buying it that day.

I agree... S2k's are fun! they are not fast like an EVO
These boosted vs. NA debates/encounters crack me up. The S2k was never meant to be a trap car. Any fool can drive fast in a straight line. Throw in some turns and you will see which car is better. And it wont be an EVO.

IMO if you throw an average driver in both for a few hot laps. I am fairly certain that the quicker time will be in the Evo...NOT because the s2k isn't as good around twisties, but because the evo is much more predictable, and alot harder to lose the rear end...the steering isnt so sensitive.

If you had 1 pro vs. 1pro each driving a dif. car, the results could change.

But just an average person with the same experience in both i think the evo will take it...MUCH easier to drive.

Who really cares if its boosted vs. NA anyways??? That debate is retarted....

its 8.7:1 compression vs. 11.whatever:1 s2k's are...one car was built one way, and the other built a different way.

Its like comparing a cobra and ls1 camaro.

On my way home after a few high speed runs, i ran into this evo 9, with the paper tag on it. Its funny cuz i still have my paper tag. so we hit the light at a 10mph roll he honks and we take off. He jumps a car length and i hold him all the way till 120ish. so we stopped and had a lil convo about what just happened. Really cool guy just bought it and he wanted to race a S. All i have is an intake, id say it was a pretty good run.

10 mph roll on a ap1 and you still hold him all the way till 120? was the evo racing? we all know what an intake dooes

considering a stock 9 will usually trap like 102-105, my s2k trapped 101 stock. and its a '00 with my airbox lid off i trapped 102...i dont see how you think it isnt believable...plus the guy might not have been that great at driving...

you think s2k's suck from a 10mph roll??? just do a quick clutch stomp and no torque problem is solved...an evo from a dig is ridiculous, but a 10mph they lag like nobody's business...you cant just clutch stomp an evo...

Not even close. In a real race the S2k's handling will be the difference maker for sure. With gears or just a slight bump up in HP and the s2k advantage will grow exponentially. Like Night and Day.
