i had a VQ35 in my 2002 maxima... even though she wasn autotragic, she moved pretty well, even in upper 100's... kept pulling and didnt let go until i did.

My buddy had his evo stock and raced a G35 and it pulled on him around that speed. i really dont know what my point is right now cuz i'm in class and brain dead... as a matter of fact ignore this...
Evo's are dogs from a roll there AWD system eats power like crazy... That being said there AWD system is great for Dig racing!

I just want to note that the VQ engine isn't "amazing from a roll" or pull hard over 110. Note this race only went to 120 but I pull him up top in an AWD car.

Umm wake up call to you. The VQ motor does pull harder up top. I have an '04 G35 coupe, and I honestly feel that 4th is my money gear. 3rd is not so fantastic, but once I throw 4th I feel like the car just keeps going at a faster rate. Maybe it's the way 4th is geared, because it is a little shorter then the other gears, and feels aggressive. But most of the time if I'm dead even with someone 1st-2nd-and 3rd, I will gain an advantage once I throw 4th if I have a good shift. I know this video is old, but it's mine and it makes perfect sense with what I'm saying. Look at the difference between top end and down low. And tell me it doesn't come to life up top. But hey, what do I know.

ive watched this video like 4398743 times and always continue to watch it!

but to the OP...you see how the S2000 pulled him so easily from a 1st gear roll when they left at the same time? that s2000 was in VTec and walked the G hard. most S2000's driven properly, should do the same.

Like I said earlier its the result of the S2000 being bad at top end. It has no TQ and high wind resistance. Its not that the G35 is so great its just the S2000 is so bad. remember as speed increases windresistance is just like weight. So the weight advantage a S2000 over cars with more HP/TQ (but more weight) down low cause it to not be very strong up top in comparison to its low end ability.

I got exams tommorow so I got to study but if you really want I will show you how this works out using math and physics.
