AP1 vs new Chrysler crossfire srt-6

Did you read his mods? Seems about right to me.
The SRT-6 runs low 13's to high 12's with ~107-110 trap speeds. Gears and exhuast are not going to put an S2000 even close to that. I'm not being rude here. A car with only a 50 hp advantage will put the smack on you. When the difference is 100 hp, it's so much easier for the faster car to walk away even without pushing it 100%.
As far as the weight difference, presume it is 400 lbs. as the worst case. A general rule of thumb says if you add 10 pounds, you need to add 1 hp to keep it from slowing you down in a 1/4 mile. The SRT-6 has 90 more horsepower. That's very roughly like another S2000 with 300 crank going against a stock S2k with just full exhaust and gears. What do you really think it would look like, if not a total mismatch?
Assuming the real weight of an SRT-6 is between 2900 and 3200, I really don't see the OP's car within a car of the SRT-6 in an all-out race.

he's got gears, basically. Gears don't make up for a 90 hp deficit. Neither does full exhaust.

On Mars with low gravity maybe...they're not quite as quick as an E46 M3 and they certainly don't trap at 110 mph.
A simple search for Crossfire traps brings up a variety of results. The high end is irrelevant, as the low end is more than fast enough to make my point. Not sure what your point is
Nobody was comparing the Crossfire SRT-6 to an M3 but you, so wtf? Newsflash: The E46 M3 isn't the fastest car in the world :/
ladies....chill....

simple visit to dragtimes tells me the srt6 stock traps around 106mph (few higher)
which is pretty much the same as an e46 m3

Thanks for the newsflash...I have seen both run at Gainesville and never have I sen an SRT trap at 110...or even 109 or 108 or 107mph, that's just my personal experience of course.

good fun, sounds right I think all you guys who think the srt should of won by miles didn't remember that upon his launch he wasn't really launching. Anyhow ANYTHING can happen on the streets lol. Drag = the faster car wins, or faster person in some cases but with all things equal faster car. Take it to the track and see whos the better driver but if that doesn't end all argument
FI s2k > srt-6 > s2k
FI s2k > srt-6 > s2k
When I go to test & tune days, I'm not racing anyone. I'm working on my launch, my shifting, or my reaction times. There might be a guy next to me, but who cares as long as he doesn't hit me. If I beat him to the end, great.
