ap2 vs f150 lightning
If he had an exhaust and intake then he probably has a pulley too...it's about the cheapes mod there is. If that's the case the outcame isn't unbelievable but certainly is not probable. He should probably have traction issues out of the hole but he should pull on you pretty easy until his poor aerodynamics become a factor at higher speeds.
The lightning has 380hp and 450 torque and IS slower in the quarter mile then most S2000's. They run the 1/4 mile around low 14's w/ a trap speed of high 90's. They are very mod friendly, so it's cake to get there 1/4 mile times in the mid to low 13's, hell even a lightly modded one w/ slicks can run 12's all day long. The Ram srt-10 (500hp 525 torque) runs high 13's and traps 104's stock.
Wanted to share my experience. Sorry to jack your thread. I ran a F150 Lightning about 4 years ago. The truck deff. had an exhaust. I am not sure on any other mods it had but, the supercharger sounded like it was working real hard. I have heard the chargers on stock Lightnings but, not like the one I ran. We started at a roll. I was in second gear, We both hit it. I was in fourth gear getting ready to shift into fifth and we were both dead even. The lightning would have pulled on me as soon as I shifted. We had to stop for a light. It was still a fun run. For the record my car at the time had a: AEM CAI, DC Header, Invidia exhaust, Comptech Flywheel, SPEC Stage 3 Clutch Kit and 4.77 gears. NOT TUNED.
never, ever underestimate those trucks. i have a lot of lightning seat time/expierence. my uncle just sold his 99, it made 500whp/640wtq and at 5200lbs it ran 12.45's@110 with the A/c on it. it was wicked, and had no problems taking down just about anthing it came across. it also tows a 21' jet boat pretty nicely too.
