i believe theyre 350 hp + ?
99-00 Lightning was rated 360 hp and 440 ft lbs 01-04 was 380 hp and 450 torque, now since it's supercharged, all it takes is a smaller pulley and a tune to bump that up to mid 400's for hp and over 500 for torque..

With those mods, I'm sure he freed up a lot of ponies... I don't know... I think he would have taken you.

These are the specs on a stock Lightening...

Nice kill. My buddy has a '03 L, and went 13.9@101 stock (with a crappy 2.1 60ft). A month later he chipped the ecu and put on some DR's and ran a 13.6@103 (with a 2.0 60).

It's quick in the mid range. His 2nd gear is geared mad long. I was a good bit into 3rd while he's still winding out 2nd (to a whopping 5400rpms btw).

I pulled the hell out of that same L in my S a few years back. Now with the G35 were pretty close. He has a little advantage in 2nd and 3rd, but I usually come back and pull past him in 4th. My G was completely stock last time we raced.

The Lightning has recently blown its heating core 3 times in the last 3 months. Every time my boy tries to come home from school in the truck he gets stuck with some kind of problem. The thing is an over heating machine now. And this is only from Orlando FL, to Boca Raton fla (3 hours maybe). He's trying to sell the L, but he's having a hard time. Only asking 11k.

I think my tuned AP2 would have pulled on a stock lightning healthily.

The S2000 runs mid to high 13's

The ford runs low to mid 13's
The Dodge runs low 13's

Both trucks will see a VERY big improvement with drag radials or slicks since tractions is their number one issue.

From a dig is really the only chance an s2000 will have against either truck and that's only until about 80 when the truck will creep up and pass.
From a roll it will be no contest for the truck.

I vote the Lightning driver was running partial throttle.
