you've heard wrong.

3ways give you enuf rope to hang yourself. You're not a mad shock tuner, you don't need anything more than 1 way. But I get the impression that no ammount of logic is gonna sway you, so just get what makes you happy. Or your friends happy or whatever.

If you've got such mad skillz that you need race shocks, get your ass to a track.

krazik,

good to see you chime in on this. Just today I was asking someone what you and all the other serious trakcers use. Moton was the answer I kept hearing.

I am on stock shocks and Espelir springs. Really just wanted to lower the car quickly and cheaply.

A friend just got the Comptech setup with KONI yellows. That is extrememly difficult to adjust.

You like the Ohlins. Is that a full coilover setup? Can you give me a ballpark cost before I start my search for threads.

the ohlins are about 900 a corner, for the price id prolly go for the single adjustable JRZs from elda since you can specify valving

Damn,

I want a decent setup that is both competent on the track and streetable. I was hoping to get away with about $2400 or so.

$3600 is too rich for me.

no problem, now back to my question i heard from eric messley that the penske shocks are lightyears ahead of JRZ/motons, for reasons such as they dont offer much in terms of valving, and that the shaft size is too big (?), so as of now im stuck between EMI's penskes and elda's JRZs, what do you guys think?

pick the one you like best. Anything eric builds is going to be great and expensive.

I already answered your question. Read my posts above. I already said that they are all about equal, and more important is who built them.

Get your ass to the track and off the canyons.

Sure, Eric says the Penske's are best because he sells them I'm willing to bet that <insert hotshot JRZ tuner here> says the same about the JRZs vs. the Penskes. Like krazik said, it matters less who's label is on them but rather who built them and do they have an understanding of the car they're going on.
