C5, what is it.

Of course the real irony here is how poorly many S2K owners where treated when they reported early clutch/syncro problems.

And I don't anticipate a good reception when we go back with the 1-2 problem... it was not really fixed with the repair they did.

Well, after reading all those posts, I can see that most of the people on this board are exactly what I thought they were. Very intelligent and open minded people. I do go to a corvette board and I'm there most of the time, but if I didn't hand around other boards and try to learn about other cars instead of making ridiculous claims about them (unfounded except for customer service claims) I would be just as smart as you IanBrown.
It's good to see that I'm welcomed at your "house"
Whenever you guys want to come over to the CorvetteForum, you too will be welcomed!
P.S. Saw an S2K at the track last night. He ran a 14.7. Not sure if that's good or not, but everone was down on their times. He looked younger. It was at IRP so if you're here, I want a ride sometime
I personally was consistently .3 off.

AHM did not step up to the plate and acknowledge the problems for some time... Honda Tech told Honda service departments everything from "It's normal" to "It's your fault, your driving the car improperly".

Shizon,
Just FYI, the 14.7 is definitely a little on the slow side. Just like most cars there are 'good ones' and 'bad ones'. I think with the S2000 this is a little more noticable due to highly tuned nature of the car. I think a majority of the S2000's that hit the track run low 14's and many of them are in the high 13's. You will also see a fairly broad hp variance. I know some cars dyno in the 205-210 range (mine and Sev's come to mind) and both of our cars ran upper 13's in stock form. I would say that's proabably not the norm though. I think most of the cars in stock form are in the 195 ish range and are probably 14.2-14.4 cars. Also, these cars can be a pain in the butt to launch, especially at the track. Nothing a little more torque wouldn't help.
