z06's, 911's, slightly modded 03+cobras are all 11 sec cars that are extreamly streetable....i say to each there own. if you want to put 20K into a s2000 to have it run 11s and be somewhat reliable they thumbs up.... its nice to know that you won't see one every where you go which might make it worth it. to me though my s2k is a great car to drive around town and mess with people... if they can beat up on my S, then i bring out the car made for strait line speed.....the Z06...
i absolutely love both cars.... they are soooooo different and produce very different feelings..... if i want to cruise its def. in the s2k... if i want to beat the piss out of the pavement, well its the Z06

What is it then? A superb handling ultimate sports car? To me, a drag car is a car that comes with a big engine with big hp and torque, or a mid-size engine with forced induction. A Cobra has both, a big engine with forced induction. On the other hand, an S2000 has a tiny engine without even forced induction. So to me, it's not a drag car, unless you turn it into one.
But it doesn't really matter. As long as you have money and are happy with modding it, that's all that matters, right? If something blows up, you'll have money to replace it. So in the end, you'll have a fast car, but with lots of money invested in it. With a factory "drag car" like a Cobra, it wouldn't take much to turn it into a beast. But then again, it lacks other wonderful qualities of the S2000.

on a side note there is a white s running 606rwhp in the 10's. it was forsale on ebay,

As I've said, a drag car is usually a car with big engine or a mid-size engine with forced induction, and has big hp and torque. The S2000 has a tiny high-compression engine, and on top of that, it is also N/A. Does it mean it's a bad car? Heck no! It's an absolutely wonderful well-rounded sports car. It's one of the closest things to a go-kart or F1 car.

i raced a comptech s2k on the highway...... on my bike! lol
i wasnt in the right gear but its okay... i was in 2nd gear at like 30 mph, we were gettin onto the highway... the s2k was fast! had invidia exhaust and all that.... i passed him about 3 bike lengths after 80, now if i was in first... he'd be toast
oh yeah i have a 04 sv650s with full exhaust,pc3 with custom tune, bmc filter..
