camaro... !!!
on my way home yesterday, i saw this black camaro with a huge wing- i was about to start falling asleep by this long, long drive, so i decided to have some play with this car to wake myself up.
we both were going about 70, and i pulled my car right next to him, and i punched it, but at the same time he just flew away from me- and i hear this hissing noise coming out of that car... i realized... "turbo!!!"
i was following him for about 4- 5 min, having really, really hard time keeping up.
now we were going about 100- 110, and as i was starting to feel pretty impressed by my s2000 doing pretty well following that turbo charged camaro, i hear, "pheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew- sheeeeeeeeeeewwwwwww!!!!!" coolest/ scariest noise i've ever heard from a car, with a bit of dark smoke shot out from the tail pipe, the car just disappeared.
it was like seeing a UFO...
i think i can safely say that it was 400+ HP-
now i want turbo in my s2000!
oh, oh, almost forgot...
later in the traffic i saw the car again, and i was able to read the license plate frame- "TURBO PEOPLE, turbo and nitrous specialist- (917)478- 1727."

I believe Turbo People has a shop in NJ...If I am thnking correctly it is owned by Job Spetter...They had a Outlaw car in the NMRA and at one it was the fastest in their class (7's in the 1/4 mile)...They run a first class operation and are one of the best when it comes to knowledge about turbos and how to tune them...
Its amazing what the V8 crowed has to do now in order to play with the 4 cylinders. It used to be that displacement was all they needed. I was at the local import tuner shop the other day and a new C5 vette was adding a 125 shot. I have a buddie with a stock looking cobra...only it has a fully built motor,a novi 2000 SC and pushes 578 hp to the wheels. Now days anything can be a sleeper even the V8's. So if you gonna run giive it 110% the first time.

Wow. Part of me is glad I haven't run into a turbo Camero on the street, the other part of me wants to see it.
