Alright, I just read pretty much the first post and some posts in between. So if anything I say have already been covered, well, I don't care

Be careful when people wants to race for money and don't want to show their cars. Look for indications that's modded beyond sanity, such as bigger intercoolers, or white tailpipes. If you can't see, don't take that chance.
As for SRT-4s, I've raced a couple of heavily modded ones. Just for reference, although it may mean nothing, one of them had upgraded turbo and supporting mods putting down around 400fwhp untuned. He took me by about 2 cars from a 40ish roll on. I've also raced a couple of stock SRT-4s and if you're half way decent at driving you'll have no problems from a roll.
My mods: a little less than yours, Vortech S/C with stock pulley, 550 injectors, and emanage tuned. 320whp and 193 ft/lbs of tq.

I had my first run in with one last night - I should probably start my own thread but am too lazy at the moment so I will hijack his ....
Empty road and this black SRT4 or what ever it is called I forget - I was by myself and had no intention of playing but he flew by me then slowed down and I was on the phone so I didn't bite but he kept gunning it and letting off like three times so I told my brother I had to go and hung up the phone and caught up with him -
I have to admit it had a really nice exhaust tone. I was slightly ahead of him and dropped it into 4th and pulled pretty good - I was surprised that he hung as good as he did - we did that one more time just playing then we finally got side by side and I hammered it as hard as I could and pulled about two car lengths until I let off around 120.
I don't race like that very often but it was fun! I am S/C 7psi 4:57 gears by the way - Props to him, it is a fast little car
