Cornering contests?

Have you ever put your S2000 in the ditch or off the track from this? Have you ever spun your car unintentionally?
I have spun a car, and ended up in the ditch, but won't fault the car. My driving needed work, and I was practicing. The car and tires were not the culprit.
Would you say the problem is really the S2000? Not a good trait for a "handling" car.

RA1's will have you running away from anything on street tires, especially in an S2000. I have S03's as a street tire and was stuck to an E30 M3 on a cloverleaf last week. He was 1) a bad driver or 2) had bad tires. There is a 1300 pound difference in cars and he should have killed me.
As for it being dangerous, a mild slide is not 10/10ths and yes you can apex a cloverleaf. The apex would usually be the far side of it just before it straightens out (if single apexing it). However, usually you can't really drive it like that if you have to allow for merging traffic etc.
Some of you guys sound like you never have even a bit of fun on the street. Hmmm, hard to believe.

-Steve (who knows firsthand after many track sessions that the S2000 is not a car to be pushed around without fear of wrecking).
Check the signature--my car weigh has a 3800lb+ curb weight, with me, bigger brakes, plus gas, it is a good 4,000lbs. The M3 is 2750 stock but I admit I didn't figure the driver. So, I was off a bit. It is at least a 1k pound difference.
My car never, in its wildest wet dream, weighed 2800lbs.

There is an apex somewhere, even if you can't really squeeze the throttle until you are 3/4 of the way through the corner.
And yes, Illinois must be different, as a day at the track costs $175+ in California. Is Illinois one of those states where people stop at the end of onramps (I was in Pittsburg and people actually did that--yikes).
Are you sure you weren't looking for a TL and bought the S2000 by mistake? You never engage in spirited driving on the street, ever?
