First of all the buy didn't even buy the "good" TT. Second of all, even if he did, its still ugly as all hell. That is by far the ugliest car I have ever seen. What the hell were they thinking? I dont' care if the TT can out run the space shuttle. You couldn't pay me to own a car that ugly. It looks like a potato cut in half lengthwise, with wheels under it.

No amount of speed (even if it was fast, which it isn't) can compensate for something so friggin' ugly.

Hey Wesmaster Big TT needs a lesson, time to school him.

Oh well... he is entitled to his opinion and like an a$$hole everybody has one. I have never lost to a TT (stock) unless it's chipped then oh well, please next time your out here in the bay area, rent a TT and drop me a line, oh and bring lots 'o cash too. You can side step all you want, my S2K and me will fox trot the TT's slow ass. Like I said bring it on and lot's O' cash.

Give it a rest, guys. Big TT is obviously a troll, getting his
kicks out of pissing off some people on our board.

Just move on and ignore him.

I think Big TT is a BIG Liar or I don't think the S2000 was really racing you. Granted the Audi TT is a nice piece of machinery, more artsy than anything. But it just doesn't feel right, numb and cumbersome. Its still a fun car but its definitely not the car for the true sports car enthusiast.

BTW, I found this in the TT Forums... HAHAHA

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Drove to Boston last night and went to put my top up when I got there. I pulled it down just like I always do - no excess force or what have you and the friggin handle came off in my hand! Let me just tell you what a mofo it is trying to pull the top down and turn the latch mechanism without that handle. I'm just glad/lucky it wasn't raining. Knowing my dealership, I figured they'd give me grief about it not being covered under warranty but they were surprisingly cool about it.

It's sh*t like this that makes me really question the build quality of the car. Have never really had any major engine problems, etc. It's always just piddly things like this.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That is just too funny!

Hey, 'Big TT' what took you so long to bring your trash talking over here from the Audiworld forums? Could you be any more obvious? Did they ask you to leave?

Folks, just ignore him and any of his future posts until he actually contributes something (which is unlikely IMO). He's started two threads that are both flame bait, one in Under the Hood! Since the thread has no basis in reality, its clearly a troll.

Moderator, please lock this post.

And BTW folks, don't let my comments make you think Audiworld is full of morons like this. Its actually a great site/forums with a lot of cool people. But there are always a few in every group.

UL, I'm going to leave this open for now, since it seems to have calmed down. However, if he shows his ugly head again, I'll close it.

Sorry chaps, but I wouldn't have a German car if you paid me. Any Audi/VW owners here who have nothing but gremlins? The only VW owners I know have nothing but trouble and I think the Teutonic build thing is way oversold, but let the buyer beware as the man said

Personally, I don't race on the road, but I do like to drive the stook fast. I've owned the car 6 months and haven't been overtaken by anything yet, but we all should be much cooler over this.

Let's face it, there'll always be someone out there who's quicker, no matter what you've done to your car and some of these postings owe more to immaturity and/or testosterone than rational argument and cool.

All I know is, I always drive:

in nice weather with the roof down,
in the rain with the windows open and
whatever the weather with a smile on my face

and get lots of admiring/envious looks, but that's not important.

Personally I wouldn't consider a TT because:

to make them competitive to race (in Germany) they had to build a longer wheelbase car because it was totally uncompetitive,
they had to fit a pathetic spoiler on the trunk to a) indicate which end was the front and b) stop the car from becoming unstable at speed, and
they are named after a part of a woman's body not because they are as attractive as one, but because the driver feels like a T!T driving one
