TTr stock: 0-60 i kick ass.....about 5 lenghts away on a good launch (you gotta damit that quattro is a cool thing), but after about 70 to 80...the stook passes me like i am standing still
TTr chpped: same thing happens outta the hole.....stayed in front about 3 or 4 lenghts, but ran outta road, so to be continued....
p.s. i love the stook.....honestly, the TTr is for the fiance.....but if i could....i'd get a took for myself...
happy driving!

[B]Personally I wouldn't consider a TT because:
Stock 1.8t GTI does 0-60 in around 7.5s....
Chipped with 0.8 bar should do 60 in 6.5-6.8s...
Still no match for S2000... now, TT is heavier than
GTI, it's got no chance against S2000 even if it is
CHIPPED, though what if S2000 had a bad launch...??
FYI, 0.8 bar 1.8t makes around 200hp & 240tq at the
crank.
My friend owns a GTI 1.8 and reads VW forum alot..
He told me that guys on the 1.8t board basically think
they are invincible with a chip & intake... bunch of
people claiming beating E36 M3s (no way!),
WRX (still no way) and just about every other new
released sports car... (Although a seriously modified
GTI would probably turn the story around)...

Hmmm..now, I've never raced an E36 M3 in my A2 Golf. The closest race that I had was with an Audi S4. He pulled off the line, was ahead of me in first gear, but by second gear I was about a car length in front of him. The race stayed this way, with the S4 planted right on my bumper till about 140KMH.
Whats faster? the S4 or the E36 M3??

big tt - smoked a 1.8T witha chip new beetle last week. Pulled over a spoke to him about it after. 0-60, 80-110, it got boring. It was so easy with my stock s2000 I didn't bother posting about it. Enjoy your vw. Hope the fan switch doesn't fall off or some other silly vw f.a.d.

1.8T GTIs Chipped/Exhaust are pretty quick but I saw a built GSR beat the shit out of it once. But of course, the GSR WAS Built and HAD Cheaters (tires).
THe GTI was trying to spool up his turbo before the race so that he'd get the turbo oil heated up or something, I'm not sure.
