Domestic Fly-by
So when I wake up this morning it's just one of those days, ugh. Feel horrible, tired, don't wanna move, much less go into work. Well I decide to tough it out, save those sick days for when you feel good and have something fun to do
I get ready and head out to work. On my way I notice a red C5 vette behind me. I've been looking for a race with one for months, so I decide to get on it a little and watch his response. I drop to 2nd about 30 and ride it out through 55 or so. The vette comes to life and roars past me; I give chase, to let him know that he hasn't scared me off.
A few blocks later we're approaching a redlight, I'm still behind him, and he moves over a lane, ohhh yeah. We line up next to eachother. I look over to give a nod/wave and he won't aknowledge me at all, just stares at the light. It's a busy area, typically a lot of cops around and I really don't feel like launching off the light. On the other hand, I know if we both punch it off the line he'll walk me horribly (no low end in the SC S2k). Light goes green, we both roll off the light aggressively, but not all out. He drops back a little, his front bumper to my front fender. I can only guess this was a sympathy head start; this guy obviously thinks a lot of his car
About 25 we both punch the gas in unison. As the gears wind by I go from looking out my side window, to looking in my mirror. The vette falls a couple lengths back and I shut it down. Mr Vette isn't having any shutting down, he flys by full throttle eventually vanishing into the distance. BAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA. So thanks to him for turning my day around

good kill!
i pulled one on a highway roll from 45 til about 120. i only got a car on him though, and he never really went into my rearview. just dont go mess with a new C6 Z06 like i did...big mistake
Haha, I'm not scared to take a loss, I'd love to run a C6 (base or Zo6) just to see how bad they'd abuse me. I was really suprised to see this one fall back like he did. I was expecting it to be dead even. I'm thinking it must have been an automatic, pretty sure they're a few tenths slower through the quarter than the manuals are. Either way, it was a great feeling to prevail over a guy that came off as really cocky and arrogant. Then the ricer-esque flyby was like an added bonus.
