Kinda, the 456 was the 2+2 front engine V12. But as far as big brother/little brother relationship for the 348 I would consider it to be the 512.

[B]ok, so let me see, the 360 and 550 aren't related, but the 550, is more expensive and is a V12 and supposedly a level above the 360.

Cool at least you got to say you smoked a ferrari!! I've raced a corvette Z06 recently on the 5 fwy, these cars can haul ass, too bad he couldn't spank meeh though. We were heading north and I spotted a corvette to play with, i thought to myself it was just another corvette wanting for some whoop ass from an import, but to my surprise it had the vents and the distinctive wheels of what motertrend and road and track call an outstanding streetcar. Which i don't doubt but when i pulled up to him and purged my blowoff valve, two of the guys that were in the car started smiling and laughing (they didn't know what was coming to them). Suddenly the Z06 downshifted and it took off by at least 3 cars. I wasted no time and took it from 6th gear down to THIRD!! (don't ever try this with a turbo s2000-stupid meeh) caught redline with a pop, upshifted and 10 pounds of boost screeched the tachometer in blinking vision up to nine again popped and with not even trying easily passed the Z06(loser) and left him till he was a micromachine in my rear view mirror!!

I played tag with a silver 360 the other day, but I wouldn't call it a "race". The exhaust note on that Ferrari has strikingly similar tone relative to our cars.

I got to sit in one during the car show at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, last november. As a matter of fact, they had several ferrari's in a roped off area (black 355 spyder, red 360, silver 550, maybe some others). And the guy let us all take turns sitting in them. I went to the show again a few days after that and they were not allowing that anymore. the 360, up close is really wide and really long. It makes our cars look like shopping carts.

I wouldn't try this with all Z06's...especially the new ones. They dyno on average around 345rwhp stock. The '02s will dyno closer to 360rwhp stock. Not to mention the 02's will be lighter, closer to 3000lbs even. Hope you don't run into a turbo vette...

Either way, good kill...just be careful next time who you're calling a loser.

Nice job! Both of you...
beating Corevette is my dream. But I hope I can get there with reliable Turbocharger.
