Yeah whats weird is, my Buddies Mach 1 is much faster than that WS6 was.

03EBZ06...Ihey im assuming you love your Vette? We drove an 03 and were very impressed with it, we were looking at an 03-04 Cobra but the Z06 felt more comfortable to us. Needless to say our S2K is for sale and were looking at getting an 03-04 Z06 (in Yellow of course )

Hmmm, my 2000 SS has very strong pull in 3rd, 4th, and 5th, and beyond 120 mph.
The 4.10's in a SS are good to 110ish in 4th and 5th is rather tall, 110-150. NOt that the car becomes lathargic but it would benifit from better gearing (see Vette).

There's no firebird ws6, I assume you mean Trans-Am.
actually, you're wrong. there were Firebird Formulas with the WS6 package. they're rare, but definitely out there.

Yeah I'm aware of the Formulas, but didn't know that they offered a ws6 package.

Thanks Silver...Yeah, the Evo is fun, I love surprising people I messed with a modded SS one time and he could pull pretty easy once we got going, but we never went above 110mph. I cant wait to see what kind of difference cams will make up top, people say their is a huge difference. Lol, then after that im getting water injection, which will enable me to run about 25 psi

Now I cant wait for my cams, they say the car pulls very hard up top with cams, they typically put out 30whp or so
Just courious...Haven't you been "getting" cams forever now? I remember a while back I thought you said you ordered them, and you couldn't wait for them to get in...?

Maybe just my bad memory...

Well I'll add this to this thread, dont really want to start another. Last night heading back to our hang out spot before we go out and race. I was messing around with a Dodge Dart on the freeway and a Black TA pulls up. I was like ok sweet, now I can see if last week was just a fluke. We all 3 line up and floor it, I dont know at what speed we started but I just left it in 5th, the TA pulled about 1 car on me and held it there until I got to about 5K rpms or so then I started to reel him in and pass, I got about 1 car up and he let off. I know if I had downshifted to 4th I would have pulled on him easily. We got to the hangout spot and all the cars that were following were like, damn I cant believe you pulled on that TA.

I dont know if my car is that fast or if I just expected more from an LS1. I always hear how fast they are on the freeway. I know I played with a modded SS one time and he could pull on me, but we never really got a chance to stay on it.

If i recall the LS1's lose their top end around 120ish (shift into 5th?)..... but they are quick until then. nice kill, i'm surprised you pulled him up top with your tall 5th gear, doesn't 4th redline at 110 or so in the evo?
You are 100% incorrect. LS1's/2/6 start to shine at that speed, regardless its when they shift into 5th (with stock 3.42's). The 5th gear of an LS1 is not a force to be taken lightly, 150 comes up real quick....

And how you beat that WS6 i dont know, you should have owned written all over you. Nice runs though.
