No...Lock it after he list's his mods I can see Evo's taking out faster cars on the freeway etc, but your gonna need a huge turbo and all the supporting mods which equal's big $$

When we took the Z06 out for a spin, I was trying to keep my Evo in mind, but its not even close, I got the back end loose punching it in 3rd I love my Evo, but the Z06 was pretty badass, it got into triple digits without breaking a sweat.

Yup, same thing happened to me when I powershifted into 3rd and the TC kicked in.

You're right though EVO can be made to go very fast, just look at the one that's posted here walking Cobras and the N20 SS.

That evo was no joke. With that cam (depending on specs of course) id say that camaro was putting down close to 500rwhp, with even more torque...

I know my stock ls1 GTO forth gear goes to 135mph.........no joke fact. When I run stock evo's at the drag strip they have me til the 1/8 mile mark with that crazy 1.8 60' time but by the 1/8 i'm pulling even when I shift to forth at 92 mph I pull and usually end up two car lengths ahead and my traps are around 104 mph with the Evo's traps being 100 to 101. Evo's with tuning and exhaust and stuff like that are running high 12's at 108 or so. A stock WS6 Trans am Runs low 13's at 105 to 108 and the ls1 is just warming up at triple digits...they pull very hard in the triple digits and really is the strong point of any ls-1 car. The car you raced was old and tired. A head/ cam Ls-1 is a low 12 car basically because of traction. with slicks
a head/cam ls-1 runs in the elevens. Even the highly modded evo's at my track only manage a 112 to 115 mph trap when the ET is low 12's. I'm telling you a ls-1 in triple digits pulls like a bull! Good kill thou..........anything can happen on the street and driver plays a huge roll............thank god or i'd lose alot of races

03EBZ06...Ihey im assuming you love your Vette? We drove an 03 and were very impressed with it, we were looking at an 03-04 Cobra but the Z06 felt more comfortable to us. Needless to say our S2K is for sale and were looking at getting an 03-04 Z06 (in Yellow of course )
Yes, I do. I love driving the Z06, puts smile on my face every time I get in the seat and I can't help going WOT.

Well thats what I figured that it was a weak/tired car and thats why it surprised me the following week when I race a TA on the freeway I pulled him even easier. I dont know maybe he let off, but it didnt seem like it because if he had I would have blew past him. I know what your saying though, guess I'll have to wait for the next one and see.

BTW we watched a guy with an Evo run 12.1 @115 and wasnt heavily modded... testpipe, catback, mbc, afc and 40 shot thats maybe $1000-1200 in mods, so it doesnt take much
