From what I have read on the RX8 forum, there is some power to be had with mods.
Hey Kumar, have you seen Canzoomer's piggy back ECU' threads? They have one dyno (alright, no jokes please) with some interesting gains by manipulating A/F, and further increases by toying with timing and exhaust. Only downside so far, if they go too aggressive on timing, they run the risk of frying the cat.

I was very close to get a black RX-8 fully loaded with Navi and all the stuff but the Rx-8 does not feel as good as my S2000 so I just went to get my new 04 S. The stereo I think was the greatest thing about the RX-8 (BOSE)

The Rx8 has a little more creature comfort type stuff than the S2000.

It needs a little more power though.

And yes I did read about those computer mods on that site man. Sounds promising but we got an Rx8 for my sister and I dont think she will let me mod it.

When I was in the market to get out of my MY00 Silverstone, I seriously considered the RX-8. Everything feels really solid with the car. It has a nice interior and the handling felt nice and balanced. But it does feel a bit underpowered in comparison to the S. That sole reason was enough to make me get into another S.

To me, the RX-8 is such a beautiful car nonetheless!

A lot of people don't like the looks of the RX-8, but believe me, the more you look at it the better it starts to look.

I think Mazda did a good job. In a couple years, maybe less, they need to get back to the 7's roots and make an all out killer car.

Yeah, a boosted RX-8 would be quite enjoyable!
