Fun over at the LS1 Board
Alright, who is the guy with the BS flag that raises up? I think that he should post here. 9 car lengths from 60 to 90 would be quite possible if we were talking about an LS1 and a dodge neon, but we are talking about an s2000 here.
I am not speculating...I have raced LS1s and yes I lost, but not by 9 f***ing car lengths from 60 to 90, that is rediculous.
Oh and if any stock LS1s in the Portland area want to prove me wrong, please PM me, and we will do a 60 to 90 run on the free way to see if there is a 9 car length difference. I just think that this is a very strong exaggeration...3 car lengths might be a more accurate statement.

Opinion. I know many Vette owners who would disagree, myself being first in line.
I think a great many more people would agree with with Honda racer. Check out the Blue Book website ( http://www.kbb.com/ ) for trade in values and you will see that they agree, as well. A 2001 BASE Corvette convertable sold for $47750 and is now worth $38500...that is 80%. A 2001 Honda S2000 sold for $32400 and is now worth $30500...that is 94%. Not bad for a slow a$$ rice burner.
Think about it this way, for the price that you paid for your car (about $32K) and the price they paid for theirs ($40K+) you could add a Comptech SC or Speedcraft Turbo and that would really make it interesting
Or go they really inexpensive rout and get a 75 shot of nitrous. I have no room to talk as my car was substantially more expensive and runs with a Vette even, but I'll take my car, thank you. Just be happy in what you own, and BTW 9 car legths from 60-90 is total BS unless the S2K driver never took it out of high gear.

I throughly got a good laugh off the guy who claims he spanked a S2000 in his girlfriend's V6 Mustang.
OMG! What a buffoon!
I love how all of them say how "overrated" the S2000 is. Jee, I wonder what they think about Z3's and Porsche Boxster's.
S2000 commands the $32K sticker price for a reason...build quality (design, material, technology, etc.). Hmmm...would I drive a finely engineered $32K car or a car with the ergonomics of a tractor trailer? All of the folks who've posted how "overrated" the S2000 is...needs to get a life. Sounds like most of those nay-sayers need to get their heads out of their a$$es and realize they're the one's being cocky and "overrating" their cars.
