Wes, are you sure that vette was stock? I was with ChrisD when we raced a stock vette (C5) and it wasn't even close at all. We killed the damn thing. I am not saying vette's suck, I am just asking if a vette really beat a SCed S2k?

Yeah Glen, me and you haven't gotten into any fights lately, and it's getting boring. Time to stir things up a bit hey??

lol

I know those LS1 guys are going on and on about their cars, as we do about ours. Unfortunately for them, I have turned many a person to the Import market by stomping their muscle/pony car. Glen, unfortunately there are plenty of "pimple faced kids" with LS1 camaros around here. And none of them know how to drive. On the strip, I usually do a 5k drop and am able to take them off the line. They pull on me slightly after 60 or 70, as would be expected. But I usually back off by then. Making them think they lost.

<shrug> Supposedly. It's been discussed on here before. There were some other circumstances that probably made the results more dramatic than they should have been. It's not worth "discussing" I'd rather just go out there and run it again.

Glen,

I really don't think you can say this car is better than that car. It all comes down to personal preference. Some poeple like the vette for the bang for the buck and american muscle, and some people like the s2k for the build quality and fun factor. The only complaint I have for the vette is that there isn't a very distintive difference between a Z06 and a regular C5. I wish there was a little bit more difference to separate the two.

If the Z06 came with a modified body style...I might have to consider it.

I'll put $100 that another stock Vette (since that one is now sold) can't out 10 on me.
To be honest.....I think it is pretty sad that a stock c5 can pull your 305rwhp s2k. Seems like the power to weight would be greatly in your favor.
