I hung with a '01 GSXR750 on my Huffy 12 speed. I mean, he got the jump on me, but I was only about a wheel length behind. He finally pulled ahead when I missed shifting into eigth gear

rsx boy you are retarded... i own a 2001 s4... last time i looked under the hood i didnt see a v8 sooooo... im sure i could beat v8's all the time too.. however i dont street race very often any more... but you have to agree its a very unlikely thing to hang with a car that traps like 10mph faster than you... you are a "rice boi"...... when you automatically assume i own a v8.. and especially when you say "big bad v8"... when this has nothing to do with displacement or the engine configuration.... ITS SIMPLY A FASTER CAR..

Automatic C5 Vettes probably run closer to high 13s.

I just checked road a road and track and they tested a 99 vette convertable at 5.5 0-60 w/ a 13.6 quarter mile..so by that standard its not really that surprizing.

I agree, the Auto C5's arent all that fast compared to their 6spd brethren. My buddy has a 99 C5 Vert Auto and that thing is slow. I would easiliy walk him at any speed. A low 14 sec car could easily "hang" with a mid to high 13 sec car. But the S2000 would get walked if speeds exceeded 120 mph; C5's have MAD top end, even for an auto.

Good run! No BS flag raising here.

You would think I had been gone years.

BTW, My auto C5 ran 13.07 @ 107mph. Had filter and exhaust (exhaust doesn't help C5's).

BTW, Hi again...
