you guys rock, i must provide you with a reason to come to this forum ay.

bottom line, when i see an LT1 i chuckle. unless someone has spent money correctly, and alot of it, its not even a race. i cant believe this thread exists, what are you guys gonna ask next, how far wed get pulled by an IROC, or by a c4 vette.. cmon get serious. this is like asking how far wed get pulled by an 01 aspirated cobra.
REALITY CHECK...NOT GONNA HAPPEN.

so all you want. lt1's are SLOW.

last time i checked, the 99-02 Cobras were trapping about 105mph; about 2mph faster than any stock s2000 i've ever seen.

LT1's are a pandora's box of fun . You can put your money into all the wrong places and not go anywhere, but if you put your money in a few key spots watch out.

It honestly depends on the cam, but with the highest end cam, the LT1 can hit 350rwhp/350tq and rev to 6500rpm. With the lowest end cam, expect 307rwhp/330tq. Depending on the driver, the car is good for a 12.5 at 115+ with an M6 and even better with a stalled/geared automatic. Cam only LT1 auto's have hit 11's, it can be done, and low 12's are common too.

Since I own the car, I can give you the best answer if you tell me what tranny he has, what tires, if he has a stall or gears, and what cam he has and whether or not its tuned.

When its all said and done its usually all driver....thats what I have learned in my few years of racing. But that would destroy and S2K from the get go, out launched, in the middle, and up top, it will just get progressively worse, almost as bad as a C5 Z06.

you're right, a lot of people dont know how to mod LT1's properly, me being one of them until I just recently figured it out about a year ago.

With that said, LT1's are not slow. I have lightly modded ones in my club that could give you a run as well as myself. I think we could help you give new meaning to the word "Slow."

http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread....65&page=2&pp=15 this is a good thread I found, gives you a general idea of what a lightly modded LT1 will do and what an insanely modded one will do.

Yes, stock LT1s are rather slow. But keep in mind, people that drives around and races usually don't drive stock cars.

If LT1's are slow, then S2K's are slow as piss seeing's how they have almost identical 1/4 mile times.
