Whats wrong with an ebay kit??
My b20 Integra had an ebay/china turbo kit would easily spank any s2k on the road that had bolt-ons.
Im pretty sure it had to do with either a shitty or NO tune & shitty driver as well.

I'm actually surprised I don't have people screwing with me or trying to race me ever since I got my car...

My guess would be NO tune.... when he hit what I would guess to be 4k rpm the car started popping ( sounded like an engine brake for a big rig ). So he resorted to short shifting. Made me giggle.

I would be too paranoid and wouldn't trust a cheap turbo spinning at tens of thousands of RPM's at high temperatures to last more than a few thousand miles. I have read about some people who have had really good luck with them, but then again there are the few who get the bad ones. I'd buy a ebay turbo kit no problem, I'd just get the actual turbo elsewhere.

Trust me , I also have read stories of people with good & bad luck with ebay kits! I guess me and my brother were one of the lucky ones that never had a problem, I never had a problem with that china turbo and I had it on my integra for almost a year, and when cash started coming in, I would replace the ebay parts with real parts and sell the knock offs on C-list. But the few times that I had raced s2k's I was running full ebay built & it did its job every time!

I wish I could have your mentality...I'm the guy who always has "what if" in his mind ...but yet again, this "what if" mentality has kept me out of alot of trouble

Um yeaaaaa...sounds like a backyard kit and ran out of money for a tune. Kids these days just don't plan things out for the long run and fall short but still have big egos and no humility to say they lost or don't wanna do stupid crap lol
