1st off an S/C'd S2000 "could" win this race...nice win.

What I don't get is the constant bitching about Vegas. I think we all get him, his attitude, and car.

I'm sure you (VEGAS) races your fare share of cars (and win) with the 224 wonder S2000, but what I can't understand is why you (VEGAS) get so defensive when people question your wins.

Putting everything else aside, TRAP SPEEDS are about the best indication of a cars power. TRAP SPEEDS take out most variables of the Street Racing and the Magazine Racing world. So...when you (VEGAS) claim that your 100-102 Trapping cars destroys 110-115 car YOU HAVE TO EXPECT guys like SteveC to call BS.

Now could you beat a ZO6 or a new Carrera S...SURE....in street racing anything is possible. But to claim it's your S2000 birthright and almost expected, cause most rational people to call BS.

Vegas, you have a fast S2000 and can drive it....but at least understand that when you claim to beat cars that trap 10+ mph over what your S2000 could ever do that people are going to question you hard.

Keep racing though the treads are entertaining. Just try coming off more humble with the unbelievable wins....lol

dude, please lets not go here again. trap speeds equal HP, yes. but they mean nothing against ET. a vette with cruddy driver, leaves like an old lady in the crosswalk, yet still traps 110. that shows the HP, but the ET will be a 13.8 or slower. and what matters when you encounter any of said cars at a light? who gets to the next light first. *the time the distance is traveled* thats who determines who wins the race.

thanks for the compliment, but also, note my s2000 doesnt trap 100-102. LOL. so the cars your speaking of, with a PERFECT launch, and perfect conditions, are trapping 3-4 mph more than me. thats not much. and i can promise you, 70%+ of these drivers, cant match my launch on the street. so that trap speed just got tossed out the window. all i need, is a 1-2 car jump, and majority of cars under 400 hp, cant catch back up. thats all im sayin.

I guess you are making my point. Assuming a BAD driver of a faster car and YOU the Hella S2000 driver.....NOW we have a WIN for Vegas.

But under equal conditions you have a LOSS for the poor S2000 with slower traps.

FOR THE RECORD given equal drives NO DRIVER ERROR, conditions and both cars leaving the line with reasonable launches the car with the higher TRAP will also have a lower ETA in the 1/4....PERIOD. Same day, same track, same cars (you pick cars) and you can't prove me wrong on this So your time to distance traveled will be relatively the same unless you are racing 10-20 rolls, but even then the car with the higher torque (S2000 need not apply) will win. OR... the other reasonable answer is BAD DRIVER. This is why most reasonable people use TRAP SPEEDS as a best guest measure for the MORE POWERFUL CAR.

FOR THE RECORD 2nd time. The 2 cars I spoke of (Z06 and Carrara S) both trap over 110 (at sea level) so unless you are trapping 106 (at sea level) I don't see the 4-5 miles per hour difference between your car and these. (even assuming you are trapping 102 at in Las Vegas)

Most of your wins against 110+ trapping car are unbelievable for a few reasons.

1. You seem to never loose
2. Your attitude is as if it's an expected win.
3. Trap Speeds don't lie.

I BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE BEATEN OBVIOUSLY FASTER CARS. I have as well, but not because my S2000 is a faster car. I beat the driver and I'm sure you have many times too. I just don't use it as the Gospel According to the S2000.

(note: based on you dyno you have a very fast S2000....just not 106 trap fast)

Or you are not telling us all your mods.

Months and months with no Dyno -- then a dyno that is above average but nothing spectacular. You would have thought that might shut him up .. but no the I have a 12 second 3 mod S2000 myth and I am a pro drag racer with the worlds fastest VW -- but I never take my S2000 to the track just show videos of it against unknown cars from a 1/2 mile away .... lives on.

Ok....you cut to the chase quickly...I was going around this in a more politically correct manner using logic and real world experience.

But in the end it appears that the stories are more along the line of Harvey the Rabbit.

 

Man this is so stupid! How can someone sit miles away infront of a computer and tell someone who won the race they were just in, weither it was with a Porsche, Mustang, or a friggin Clown car. I personally don't care who's car does what! I'm sure people lie on here from time to time, but it's not my sole purpose in life to call them out! I DONT CARE!!! They are only fooling themselves.

As far as Vegas goes I don't know what kinda car or cars he has, it dosent consern me. If he wants to post his S beat the shuttle to the moon and back, I don't care. It has no effect on my S2000 or my well being. It doesn't make me feel less of a man to know that someone has a car faster than mine!

As for the poster, you have a clean ride and damn nice set up going on, I only wish I had that kinda $$$$. The 19's do have an effect on the cars acceleration, due to the weight(which may not be much) but the sheer size of the wheel uses more power to turn it. on the other hand though they are not big and heavy enought to make a significant difference in the race you posted GREAT KILL!!!

Sidways!! I haven't made a comment about your car yet, but here goes! I read your posts day in day out when you post them. I beleive you becuase I see no reason to dispute what you say. I mean the potential of an SC'ed S2000 is almost unlimited. PROPS on a nice car keep kicking ASS!!!!
