Sorry to hear about the S, all that counts is you are OK. As you stated, its only metal. As you know I have posted on "Street Encounters" my S is very powerful and fast. I do not condone racing in traffic or streets that could potentially kill unsuspecting people or damage property. I am 52 years old and yes I do race on tracks and streets at times. When I race on the street with this S its in one location at late night that is completely straight and visible for about 1 mile with no side streets. Many times I have had other cars want to race and I will not because its not safe in the current location.

I am concerned about the "No Fear" attitude I have encountered with Sport Bike riders. I have a Harley and you must respect the environment and other drivers. Wish your friend and you well.

Little experience driving a rear wheel driver car
Inexperienced (18)
Going around a blind corner on the street doing 55+ mph
Shifting while going through a corner
Racing on I assume a narrow street is even worse

Go to a track and get instructed by a pro

When I was 18 I had a Mustang Mach 1 that put down 425rwhp.

All depends on how mature you are with the power. I would never race on the street around a curve. Not when I was 18, and not when im 20.

The S2000 is too much car for an 18 year old normally. I purchased mine when I was 18 and had a few instances where I spun out. I took the time to learn my limits and hit up a couple track events; the difference in my skill now is like night and day. I'm glad you're still alive to learn your lessons. Good luck with getting everything sorted out.

To the OP, let's not forget that your friends in the truck and Saab were not using much judgment themselves for pulling those stunts. I do understand how those things happen though. I did something on the street recently that I regret myself. I was lucky nothing bad happened like it did to you. I'm really sorry it did happen to you. That stinks.
