I've had my back end brake loose on me about 8 times or so, but always regained control..most were at lower speeds, but i remember one time i was going about 70mph when it happened.

my statement about the 18 year old was just trying to say an older more experianced driver might not have lost control..

j/w why eveyrone is saying its "TOO MUCH" for a 18yr old.... Yes im 18 i owned a rsx before this and the s2000 is no power house.. its a quick lil car but by no means a viper were its stupid fast stock. What would a 25yr old or 18yr old be so different besides "Number of years driving" and no im not going to say "Driving Skill" because u can be 18 20 40 60 and either be a excelent driver or a horrible

I would guess about $200 a month on insurance. Do you think insurance companys like to ass rape teenagers for insurance just because they can? or maybe that teenagers tend to get into more accidents.(statistics do not lie)

I'm not comparing morons to F1 drivers...sure some drivers are better then others, but I'm a far better driver now then when i was 18.btw I'm 30

well to say an s2000 is too much for an 18 year old. If you really think about it, ANY car going 70 MPH around a corner racing is too much for ANY 18 year old.

As a matter of fact, even the best drivers, instructors, pro's can just drive to the grocery store and hit a patch of grease or gravel and spin out just doing the speed limit.

Its all about experience, not age. I'm 27, running with cars 400hp since i was 18/19 years of age. got into plenty of situations where i shouldnt be here right now, but its experience that matters. cant really say a nascar driver who is 21 cant drive as well as a 40 year old if the 40 year old hasnt gotten into it until he was 37. Not saying those are true numbers, its just an example.

I'm very sorry to hear what happened. I been there and done that, and sometimes it takes incidents like this to wake someone up. Its good you realized now, but i guarantee, you'll bite again. It happens to all of us......thats like saying........I'm not gonna speed Anymore after i just got pulled over and getting a ticket.......your gonna do it again.

Yeah im 18....but i had a perfect record for 2 1/2 years before this...no tickets or accidents....i owned an integra ls for my first year, integra gsr for the second....and then of course went all out on the third and got the s2k....its not that i cant handle the car....it was actually uneven ground around the corner because of road work being done like a week before....but its not the road works fault...going 73 on the wrong side of the road is not mature....yes i did something stupid, no im not what i would call a bad driver and yes i did learn my lesson.........I did'nt post this as a sob story, just a little advice from someone that used to think like a lot of 18 year olds...."i wont crash"...i almost killed one of my best friends....seriously is it worth racing on the street?...besides a "real" race is what i would be considered on a road course...or a drag strip if you can call that entertaining....i plan to get an ap2 next time around though...04 or 05.....silver hopefully.....should be next spring and no i am not still stupid....i plan to not speed anymore and never to pass anyone illegally....and i will follow through with that too...it only takes one slip to end your life or the life of your friends....

oh yeah....inurance companies at least in my state,(MA) rape everybody, but especially enjoy raping us teenagers....It was $2700 a year with a perfect record for insurance for the first year of owning this type of car...and what is funny is that after i get my ticket and crash on my record, the insurance will be around 2 grand for the whole year....because when you hit 3 years of driving, it drops dramatically.......Its ironic that i go perfectly until about 6 months before my insurance was going to run me only a grand a year....I dont know...i've learned to take the good with the bad....the s2000 is special enough to me to pay all of that plus $400 a month again...i guess its just something about rolling out of bed on a nice satarday morning, dropping the top and letting all of my stress diminish as i get looks from every single person i drive by.......if only they knew the joy that comes with such a machine...
