0.46!!! I've seen a video of a race between a 1.8T Jetta with chip, downpipe and exhaust against an S2000. S2000 edged it out every time but when they got to the higher speeds the Jetta caught up. I believe that S2000 had the top up. If your top was down it might be possible that a Jetta with chip, downpipe and exhaust can pass you at those speeds.

I live in So Cal so yes of course my top was down. Oh well, the guy gets props from me because I would have never expected to get beat by a Jetta.

I have been sprayed on way to much in the top end. I say spray it was. Probably about a 75 shot by your post.

all these people getting sprayed on the top end confuse me

unless there are a lot more direct port kits out there than i think, there are also a lot of retards running around blowing up motors

What's the difference between direct port and regular ones at top speed?

It was probably all modded out. Let's not forget that the fastest stock turbo, no nitrous 1.8T runs have been 13.22 @ 103.xx and 13.2xx @ 104ish...

If the S2K was modded for power, it would be a different story. Also, have to remember that the Jetta might have had a turbo upgrade and has a much better c/d.

This Jetta evidently put a total of 6 car lengths (from 3 behind to 3 ahead) all from 130+ mph.

If we exclude driver error (and that's a big IF), what other setup on the jetta (what turbo/gearing/whathaveyou) would give this sort of result other than a squirt of laughing gas?

When my car was NA, running with the top down vs top up at speeds above 100 MPH was like night and day.
