Ahh, forgot about Tim...that would be another good local driver, Glen.

Slightly modded (intake/exhaust).

Excellent!! Having 2 S2K's is better than having 1. That way we get more trustworthy results.

I assume both of you guys can adequately drive your cars? I mean nobody is going to say "Those guys suck as drivers" right?? Can you can launch your cars properly??

glen5839,

I'm a decent launcher bud.

I have raced an LS1 before (with two fat guys in it). I guess the LS1 had a bad launch (lots of wheel spin)...because he didn't smoke me from the light to 1st gear...even with my 18's. Mabye he was putting on a show. I remember we were pretty even, or he was ahead by a foot or so.

Too bad it turned out to be a waste of a good race oppertunity because he slipped 2nd gear and I had grinded second gear (this was before I got the tranny update). We both had a brief delay in getting into 2nd. But then we got into it again and I stayed with him pretty tight. In the end he won by a bumper length.

At the next light he told me that it was a 2000 model Z28 with a borla exhaust...and that he slipped 2nd gear. A 2000 model Z28 has a LS1 engine right?

Anyway...I would be more than happy to help you with your experiement. Take note that I am not down to do 10 runs though. Chances are I will get my ass kicked 10 times in a row...and I don't want to use up half my tread!

It would be fun to run a best out of 3. Lemmie know.

I'm thinking HRP is gonna be the best place to get this many races in. Does HRP give one car an advantage over the other? I'd be willing to chip in for the run fees, so that the races don't have to pay it all.

OK, guess that rules that out. As long as everyone's cool with running 10 (or 3 for Tim) times at somewhere like <insert obvious local race spot here>, maybe during the week, then I guess it's cool. I agree that everyone should do this where they feel most comfortable about their car, and it's reliability (axles/differential); if not we're just throwing another factor into the equation.
