Default M5 run to 130

I was on the service road(straight, no cars, no turns) when in the rear view I notice a blue BMW up my ass. I noticed the mirrors and narrowed it down to a M3 or M5. I got to the left lane and he pulled up and we went at it to 130. At 115 he was pulling about 3-4 car lengths and at 125 he stopped pulling and i saw if we would have went to like 145 i might be next to him. I thought he would of pulled harder. I had the top down and a buddy in the car and I had flip flops on (hard to rip off 9K shifts with flip flops on). I was going 2 minutes from my house and figured flip flops would of been fine. Do they make the M5 in auto, I have never seen one. Shouldn't an M5 pull a couple bus lenthgs on an S? Was fun though. I also saw a RS6 for the first time, sweet ride. Thats a M5 eater! He took all the badges off and it was black. It looked like an A6 with nicer wheels and some serious braking power. The guy with the RS6 said he traded in an S2000 for the Audi. Thats a nice upgrade. 240 horse to 450 horse!.

M5's (currrent model) do not have auto's. It should have been buslengths ahead of you by 130-140, especially with your top down. I've had that flip flop problem before, I just took them off and went barefoot. It felt strange, but a hell of a lot better than with big flip flops.

An M5 is faster than an S2000 and pre-'97 NSX's.

QUIKAG: its pretty much a drivers race between a pre-97 NSX and an M5...both are capable of mid 13s. I'm not exactly stock either.

M5's are fast and they are all 6 speed manuals. The cars are very fast. Rumor has it, BMW will be putting a V-10 in the all new 2005 M5. Pretty cool stuff...

2005 M5 = RS6 & pretty much anything else EATER. Even an FI S2000 would have trouble keeping with an e39 M5 though

Drive barefoot...thats what I do when I wear sandals/flip flops and its much easier to drive the car.
