Default Me vs. '06 Audi S4

Happened 2 weekends ago. Ended up behind the older guy on an empty one lane road in the hills, very very twisty. I could tell he was at least getting on it a little bit because you could smell/see the exhaust every time he accelerated. He couldn't shake me loose until the road dropped off quickly going down hill. It was crazy I almost lost it cresting a hill where the road stops arcing and takes an immediate 45 degree turn downward. All four wheels actually came off the ground where as his tires remained in contact the whole time. It took some maneuvering to get back in control of the car. Anywho we eventually intersected another one lane straight-shot road and we happened to turn on in the same direction. He started slow and I thought we were done. Then he got an it again. After pulling ahead a little from the initial jump he got I was able to get right on his bumper with about 2k rpm's left to spare in 2nd so I backed off having proved my point. It was funny catching his puzzled face looking back at me in his rear-view mirror.

Audi S4 .... check.

dont be. the tank s4, and the 04 s2k have nearly identical times....0-60 1/4 etc. they are slow as hell. just imagine, take an sti, add 40 hp, and another 1000 lbs, then you have an 06 s4. later

Yeah, they aren't all that fast. I recently had a similar situation with one and I am certainly nowhere near as fast as a S/C s2000. He took off and was many cars up and I caught him and had to slow down in order to not run him over. I'm pretty sure they are faster than a bone stock S of any year though.

so if they have almost identical times, why are you implying s2k's shouldnt be afraid of them...... the s2k is just as slow right,

oh wait but you take them out by buslengths right? DIE DIE

The new S4 is a nice sporty car but it isn't an M3. I would take the Audi's interior over the BMW's though. And Audi > Volkswagen. Anyways, when I had my B5 S4, I chipped it, got a Borla/Neuspeed exhaust, short shifter, and suspension done. Amazingly fast. Can't go wrong with 320hp/350tq and quattro. Wish I had kept it. But new house > car. Check out this video Stage 3 S4 vs S/C E46 M3. Woot.
