Me vs. a Z28

I was on my way to my new years party and this kid probably about 19 came up along side me in a fairly new Z28. He noticed that I sped off from the last light pretty quick and wanted to race. We were already moving and I was in a good mood so I said what the hell so we both just took off. We were probably going about 35 already. I dropped it to second and I think he had an auto so he just floored it. I didn't get the best moving launch but I was keeping right with him until traffic started to appear. I think we probably got up to around 80 or 90 mph. I had to lay off the gas because my lane was starting to crowd up. We pulled over in the next parking lot and he said he had a friend that owned a yellow S2k and that he almost got one but his family got an Audi instead. I told him to give me another shot next time he saw me because I was loaded down with stuff in the trunk and maybe we could find a better stretch of road. It was nice to see that a domestic sports car owner wasn't an a$$ about me driving an import. In the midwest it seems like people are either import junkies or domestic hicks. It's good to see a break from the norm.

Yeah, I really want to try to get another hardtop, but after this Christmas's expenses and some bills I've had to pay, it will probably have to wait until next winter before I can get one unless you're selling a used one for half price or something.
