I noticed that an SS was behind me as I pulled up to a stop light. As the light turns green I needed to get over (left) one lane so that I wasn't forced to exit the street I was on. I give it some gas, the SS matches my speed. As I pull one lane over, I decided to go another incase the guy wants to come and "play". I let off the throttle letting him catch up. He stayed in his lane but slowed down as he came in parallel with me. I was watching waiting to see who it was. The guy was in his mid 30's, and had this stupid grin on his face as he revved up on me. I just couldn't let him get home with that same smile on his face. I could tell from the sound that he was moddified - he at least had an aftermarket exhaust.

I looked down at my MPH as I shifted out of gear. I see 58, and I'm slowing. I drop into 2nd and floor it, he does the same. He immediately disappeared from my view through my passanger window. As my lane went straight, and down under the road ahead I never saw the guy as he stayed in the right-hand side blind spot, or further back. He might not have even known what hit him - I just put on my S badges today. I'm pretty sure all this guy was able to see was:

One word...Awesome! Just wondering Wes, You said you shifted to 2nd at around 58 mph. Doesn't 2nd redline like right at 60 or a little above? (or is it different with a SC?) I guess you shifted extremely fast again right into 3rd after the kick in 2nd???

So once he dropped back some could you tell if he was falling farther, staying with you, or slowly catching up? Either way that must be a hell of a lot of fun.

Nice!! I find when shifting to 2nd at 55ish I get a scratch and don't really like it unless I'm showing off (which nobody ever does ) I also get the scratch shifting up to 2nd from 1st and down to 3rd at 80 or so. I hope this isnt just my car...
