So I'm cruzing home at the speed limit just kinda in a daze at about eleven the other night when I come to the intersection where I am to turn right. I pull up to the light and what crosses my path but a black Corvette. At first I got axcited cause I didn't see the side vents... then they appeared. Aw' man Z06... oh well, we'll see. I thought. I notice he has slowed down considerably and think "allright it's on!" So I get next to him and he looks over at me and nods. I nod back and down shift. We are at about 30 mph at this point. He knows he's got 4 more cylinders and gives me the jump. I floor it! Redline, shift, redline, shift. I'm looking out the corner of my eye to the right waiting to get blasted on. No blast, couldn't even see his car... until we hit 110 and pulls me with ease, which was expected. At the next light he's yells "WTF?! There's no way in hell that thing is stock." I tell him "Nope, not stock." And we go our seperate ways. I ran into him the next day and he explained to me that he just got it dyno'd at 420 to the wheels and was bummed that he didn't "destroy me". He was dumbstruck and actually thought he might lose at one point. Needless to say I am very happy with my SC.

Crazy, 420 rwhp and you maintained distance from 30-110 What speed did you shut down!

 

Maybe he started the race in 3rd gear like I did against a turbo Integra tonight barely edging him out. Wonder if he posted that online.

When my Z06 had 417rwhp, it ran 123-124mph traps.

He should have murdered you.

 

What kind of SC setup do you have? aftercooled? Any other mods besides the SC? It sounds like the Z06 driver might've messed up somewhere, maybe traction problem?

That all depends on traction. I ran a 11.7 on street tires. I have seen people run 10s with slicks and trap under 125.

I guess you didnt read the original post. He had 420rwhp and probably around 390rwtq.

The S2000 had MAYBE 300rwhp and whats the tq number? around 200?

The Z06 weighs around 3050lbs.

 

And is that not the power difference between a C5 and a s2k?
