565565, thanks for the support. What happened in the race was a mute point, I just wanted to say whatsup to the guy I raced. I've attempted to do so by starting this thread, but looks like he's not around. At least I tried.

Sounds just like my experiences with the APR stage 3 Jetta 1.8t I used to drive. It pulled like crazy for about the first 10 seconds of playtime, then the SMIC would heatsoak and the thing became a dog, was no faster than my 1992 16V 2.0L Jetta GLI.

A 1.8t's biggest downfall is the heatsoaked intercooler. A FMIC does help quite a bit, bit it still has to be a substancial sized IC or it heatsoaks too from that tiny little turbo kicking out all that heat.

And as for the San Diego S2K's, you guys are the biggest smack talkers in existence I still have yet to see any of you bust into the 8's at Qualcomm, and some of you aren't even running in the 9's yet. Yet you somehow manage to annihilate M3's and 911s and Z06 vettes (rolls eyes).

Let me just say, I do love hanging out with you at Fusion Cafe but you have the worst BS stories I've ever heard about what cars you've beaten, and you're the quickest to call BS on other people's stories if they ever, heaven forbid, actually beat an S2k in a run and tell publicly about it!!! Because you know that could never happen in real life. "My stock AP2 beat down a Gallardo last weekend".... yeah. And my R32 is a "slow, heavy pig", yet none of you have managed to beat me yet except Liem who had a turbo S2k and took me by 0.1 second in the 1/8th.

The funny thing is how much smack you talk here on the forums, but you're actually pretty nice and mild mannered in person. I'd never guess you had these vicious and unrealistic internet personalities. Reminds me of the AOL Car Chat room from like 5 years ago.

Hey G60racer, I go to fusion every once in a while. What color is your R32? Does it have Monte Carlos? I have the BMP 20th with Gunmetal RCs.

20ae... it's Deep Blue Pearl, yes it has the Monte Carlos on it right now (my track wheels, was getting the OZ's repaired and haven't bothered putting them back on yet). Look me up Wednesday night!

i used to own a GTI about 3 days ago with every single bolt on except for a FMIC, i used to race my friends Type-s from a 45 roll all the way to 110 and used to pull on him by about 2 cars and he had a I/H/E... the gti loses its power at around 5000 rpm and it red lines at 6500... i just think the stock k03 turbo dies out too fast... my 03 s2k feels alot faster than my gti once vtec kicks in...

I believe him too. Why wouldn't I? With the lead you had and the fact that your car DOES move from a roll very nicely when modded, I don't have trouble believing that he didn't pass you. But the thing is, try running that s2k from a dig and you will see the real difference
