My Best Non-Kill Kill
This one is a classic.
I'm driving in Poway, looking for the cable company office to return some hardware (I had just moved).
Suddenly, there's a kid in a piece of crap CRX dancing around me, trying to goad me into a race.
He had a few things working against him- I won't race on congested streets, *very rarely* drag, as I believe the S2K isn't a dragger, I won't race erratic drivers, and I won't race cars that are so clearly out of their league; the risk of a ticket just isn't worth the gratification of being a bully.
Anywho, this kid won't give up. He's all over the place, acting as if he's drafting me, pulling a length ahead and hitting his hazards (a clear "let's run" signal in SD rice racing culture), pulling in front of me, changing lanes to get neck and neck, and anything else he can think of. I wasn't even looking at him.
So he gets behind me, "drafts" me LOL, and err, uh, jumps out and err, uh, "takes off". Suddenly, a cop jumpsout from behind a store a few hundred yard up the road with a stop sign. Of course everybody slows down, but the cop wanted the CRX! With a mean look and a solid pull over sign, the CRX was put to bed and I tooled on down the road at 35, feeling very content.
I took the lesson and never let it go- gawd its nice to be 34 yrs old and a bit wiser!

Now that's what I like to hear. Congratulations on not falling for such juvenile behavior. His behavior is like that of some atheletes that dance and show off on the field of play. I have always respected those that never rubbed it in the face of their opponent. You know what you have and there's no need to be arrogant about it. I'm glad the kid got his.
I remember seeing this kid at a gas station with a vette. He thought he was something else. Anyway when he finally decides to leave, he burns rubber out of the parking lot. As soon as he hits the street this cop comes from no where with his lights blaring.
Bwahahaha! That's so cool! I've had my share of thse "dancin" CRXes/Integras/Civics etc. trying to egg me on. Sometimes I just want to roll down my window and yell, "NICE fu*kin CAR, DUDE! What IS it?!
