So i pull into strats hotdog stan yesterday on 83 and north ave, typical car meet spot, and decide to chill. The second i pull in there's a mustang that immediatly wanted to run. Im like w/e i guess. So i pop, im stock now just test pipe plus bad donut gasket, so then the 06 mustang pops, intake, throttle body, headers, exhaust. Im like im going to lose. bolt ons make good power on thos american cars. So then out of nowhere this kid with a 04 wrx modded wants to get in on the race, so were like ok whatever. All i saw was exhaust and big front mount. We pulled onto 83 to do this 3 car race. Me vs mustang first. 40 roll mustang pulled 2 cars on my before i let off around 100. I see the wrx not being able to hang in the back. Then the wrx pulls up on the way back to strats and we do another 40 roll, dead even til i shift to third i start pulling slowly, then i wanted to shift to 4th but instead to 2nd. Ya not good. Thank god i didnt fully release the clutch. Another bad day for my s2k.

you really need to practice power-shifting and get it down before you really blow your motor one day.

and don't race if you suck, practice first . it just makes our cars look bad/slow.

I assume that the Stang was a V8 GT right? What are they puttin down stock now about 300hp? But they are heavy. I would have expected a S to hang with them better. Is your car AP1 or AP2? (edit never mind I see your are AP2). That should have been a close race even with the bolt ons. Trouble is if they are egging you on to race, you can bet that they think they can win at least 90% of time.

I dusted a 07 Mustang GT from a dig a few weeks ago but I was in a different car. I thought it was a pretty easy race but we only ran from 0 to about 50ish since the traffic in Mexico was too busy to allow more. Darn burros in the road...

I beat mustang & wrx before too! The stang had e/i/tp & cams. Stage 3 WRX. My mods were a cup of coffee & a cream fudge donut. I beat them both by 3 cars & to top it off I didn't even have to go past 6k(rpm). Yea I know, my car is the sh|t homie! PEACE!
