I usually see more than one RX8 a day...plus the reports I've heard are that its easier to drive than an S2000, so your average driver will be able to make it go almost as fast as the S.

And I will say this as I have said everytime someone mentions it: If you say slap some sequential twin turbos on a car, regardless of the reason, you have no clue what you're talking about...

I don't have much experience with the S2k, but I could bet my right hand that the 8 is not as hardcore as the Honda. Remember that the 8 has 2 extra seats, and is heavier. The S2K has very few compromises for a roadster, whereas the 8 has a lot of them for a 'sports' car. Nonetheless, from my humble origins, the 8 delivers the goods.

I like the rx-8 a lot, but those suicide 3rd doors are not very sporty and I could do without them. I have never driven a rotary engine, are they loud?

rotory engines have a really cool unique sound to them. its kinda like a whir. i cant really describe it, and ive only ridden in an RX7. i would love to test drive an 8 some time, it looks very nice and fun to drive as a sport 2x2. though, when looking for pure performance, i'd steer myself to an evo8 or 04 s2k.

In his defense, I noticed the other night that the Sunlight Silver metallic RX-8 looks kinda white at night (there's a guy buy my house that has one). Not sure if this is the case...just an observation.

The Rx-8 is a beautiful car but the demographic of drivers that the car is built for are not going to spend 31K ( fully loaded) for a car that doesn't perform exceptionally well in any one area.

When I thought about getting a new Rx-8 my conflict was this... The Rx-8 is good in just about every aspect of driving but there is nothing about the car, performance wise, that makes me say "wow, I want one".

-I didn't intend this to be a knock on the Rx-8, just my .02

I think my view is from the lower age group of the demographic- I'm 23. Given your circumstances I's say its the perfect car. If I had enough money -after purchsing the RX-8 to mod it to the point where it had about 230 rwhp it would be my ideal car.

That really sucks about the egg. If you haven't already done it ..go into the detailing section of this forum and check a few other car care websites so you can find out the best way to take car of that.

P.S My father bought a G35 Coupe fully loaded, auto- 37K with tax, tags, ect.
