Gotta love DFW tollroads. Anyway, about two weeks back, I see a black C6 ahead running at a good pace (90mph or so), so I catch up and just as it happens, the road totally clears up, I switch lanes and just flat go for it. I can see ahead over a mile and it's slightly DOWNHILL. I have an aftermarket shift light, digital tach and it came on in 6th gear. I have it set at 7,750rpm so I have 450rpm to shift before hitting the 8200rpm rev limit. Anyway, it was lit up constantly and at full throttle I got up to 7900rpm on the digital tach in 6th gear, which based on my speedo was just over 150mph. Any idea what that speed is with a stock '05? 7900rpm in 6th?

The C6 was behind me, but I think he was pacing me. Eventually, he pulls alongside after I slow back down to 95mph and he gives me a thumbs up and jumps on it again. I downshift and speed back up to 130+ and he is very comfortably ahead of me probably fiddling with his CD player and chatting with his passenger. We then both slow to a good 120mph clip and I just cruise behind him.

FYI, I know there is NO COMPARISON between a C6 and S2000, but it's still fun cruising with another sports car doing triple digits for a sustained period of time.

My stock 05 at 7900 rpm is around the same as what u went. The fastest ive gone with my cold air is 157 without it cutting off but the red light was flashing for a while, so i guess 7900 rpm would be right about 150.

You have big nuts doing that in a 55. But I'll admit I'd be all over it too. I get the oppurtunity about twice a year. Maybe I should start following you around everywhere.
